    9am Welcome: We start our weekend with a meet & greet! Enjoy local pastries and coffee while connecting with fellow riders as we discuss day's and weekend itinerary.

    Scenic Cycling: Choose your ride: Both short, casual ride or a long, fast-paced rides are offered! Enjoy snacks and hydration at farm stops along the way.

    DAY 1: Pedal The Valley
    Short Ride: 26-30 miles
    Long Ride: 35-42 miles

    Highlight: Today’s ride takes us on a back road journey to Providence Organic Farm, Café & Natural Food Market, where we’ll enjoy a locally roasted coffee or breakfast drink coupled with small bites locally sources before we begin our countryside journey. The route winds through peaceful countryside with stops including Wagbo Farm and Education Center, where we’ll experience traditional homesteading skills like foraging, food preservation, fiber production, and maple syrup making.

    We’ll continue on to Kiwidinok Tibetan Yak and Petting Farm, a one-of-a-kind stop where you’ll meet yaks and other friendly animals while learning about sustainable farming practices.

    We break for lunch at a charming waterfront pavillion. Here, we’ll learn about the striking bronze sculpture “The Young Boy and the Stream,” a tribute that brings to life a rarely seen side of Ernest Hemingway’s youth and connection to this region.

    After lunch participants are welcome to ride the additional long distance while other will be transported back to the start. After the ride, participants will have free time to explore the town on their own—or join us for an optional (complementary) guided local tour of the whimsical Mushroom Houses and the historic John Cross Fishery.

    Dinner: Signature Gourmet Farm Dinner at Lavender Hill Farms

    Scenic Cycling:
    Short Option: 28 miles 990 feet ascent

    Long Option: 54 miles: 2900ft ascent

    Experiences:Today’s adventure is a true taste of Traverse City and the surrounding Leelanau Peninsula. We’ll visit the award-winning Leelanau Cheese Company, known for its cave-aged raclette and artisan cheeses, and enjoy a cozy coffee break at The Farm Club, a beautiful countryside café and working farm. Along the way, we’ll treat ourselves to locally made ice cream and take in sweeping views of the inland seas.

    After lunch and wine tasting experience at Black Star Farms participants will have the option to:

    1. Ride or be transported back to Traverse City to explore on their own

    2. Set sail on the Great Lakes Discovery Sail, a unique way to experience the region from the water, set sails and learn about the sailing and fishing industry of Northern Michigan. All cyclist will be transported by van to Traverse City after the Sail.

    Dinner: We will have the afternoon to walk around the cherry festival and downtown.
    Dinner on your own.

    Long Option: 45 miles 1200 ascent

    Today’s ride takes you through the fragrant beauty of cherry orchards and lavender fields, where you’ll enjoy a cup of lavender tea and pick your own fresh cherries straight from the tree. Along the way we will stop for a taste of locally brewed coffee before heading out to explore the historic Mission Point Lighthouse, perched at the tip of the peninsula with stunning lake views where we will enjoy a beach picnic.

    End On A High Note Lunch: After a leisurely lunch, we’ll ride (or be transported) back to downtown Traverse City, where we’ll celebrate the day’s adventure with a cold craft beer at a beloved local brewery—cheers to good rides and great flavors as we enjoy the unforgettable National Cherry Festival Air Show headlined y the U>S Air Fore Air Combat Command F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team and the US Marines F-38B Lighting II Demonstration Team.

  • Bike Rentals:

    Suggested Accommodations:
    We recommend booking lodging in Charlevoix, where rates will be more affordable due to increased demand in Traverse City during the Annual Cherry Festival.

    • Day 1: The ride and gourmet farm dinner will take place in Charlevoix.

    • Day 2: The ride will start and end in Traverse City. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided by Farm to Fork’s private Transit van, offering hourly transportation between Charlevoix and Traverse City until 9:00 PM on Saturday.

    • Day 3: The final ride will also begin and end in Traverse City. The tour concludes in Traverse City, with an optional complimentary shuttle available for those returning to Charlevoix.
